ANL - Vic Fury & Vic Flames

Netball Victoria is now calling for Victorian athletes to nominate for the Australian Netball League (ANL) Victorian teams.

In 2013, Victoria will be represented by two teams participating in the Australian Netball League
– Victorian Fury & Victorian Flames

Individual athletes must nominate to represent Victoria in the 2013 ANL and the selectors will make the appropriate selection for each team.

Compulsory Selection Day – Friday 19^th April 2013 6:30pm – 9pm SNHC (Courts 1 & 2) *Athletes that nominate must be available to attend this session. Depending on numbers you will be advised closer to the date if you are required to attend.

Training Information:

Training sessions will commence on Friday 3^rd May 2013
Sessions will be held on Friday nights for the first part of the program and then move to Tuesday and Thursday nights closer to the start of competition. Training sessions will be confirmed once teams are selected.
Consideration of training loads will be discussed with the individual athlete, High Performance Manager, Athlete Programs Coordinator, ANL Head Coach and VNL Club Coach as required.

ANL Competition Dates:

The Australian Netball League competition season is commences Saturday 6^th July 2013 – Sunday 18^th August.

Finals – Saturday 24^th August & Sunday 25^th August in Adelaide

Due to the naming of the World Youth Cup team at the end of May, a squad has been selected and will training together over the next month. Following the naming of the World Youth Cup Team Netball Victoria will name athletes selected in the respective Victorian Fury and Victorian Flames teams.

2013 Victorian ANL - Squad List

The Victorian Fury is Victoria’s team in the Australian Netball League (ANL).

Entering its fifth season, the ANL features teams from every Australian state and territory in a national competition managed by Netball Australia, with matches played around the country, culminating in the Finals Series.

The ANL gives netball fans around the country a chance to see some of our best young talent in action. For the players, it is a fantastic opportunity to test their skills in a competition that bridges the gap between State League competitions and the ANZ Championship. The under-pinning competition is vital to the national pathway, not only providing players an opportunity to develop but also coaches, umpires, score bench and technical officials.

The Victorian Fury is the underpinning team to the Melbourne Vixens as is managed by Netball Victoria.
