NetSetGO!: About

 


San Remo NetSetGO! is Netball Australia’s Junior Netball Program. It has been developed to provide children from the age of 5 to 11 years with the best possible learning and playing experience that enables them to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation within the sport.

San Remo NetSetGO! incorporates the modified junior programs FunNet, Netta and 11/U No Finals into a fun and safe weekly program. The program incorporates skill activities, minor games and modified matches and will be coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure a quality experience for all participants.


How much does San Remo NetSetGO! cost?

Accredited Centre
Any Club, Association, School or community group may apply to become an accredited San Remo NetSetGO! Centre. For 2010, there will be no cost for affiliated Associations / Clubs to apply however, external groups such as for profit centres can join for a fee of $150 plus an additional $400 to purchase the equipment kit.

Each accredited San Remo NetSetGO! Centre will be provided with program content specific for each age group, an opportunity to have a visit from a Vixens or Fury player, access to a basic short course coaching seminar and a comprehensive equipment kit. When an Association / Club signs up as an accredited Centre, all their modified members automatically become San Remo NetSetGO! program participants.

Individual Participant
For $50, Accredited Centre program participants receive a special San Remo NetSetGO! branded bag, Gilbert netball, diary, bracelet, netball charm, diamond girl charm, facewasher, bib with fabric pen and a set of gel pens plus their Netball Victoria membership.


What is expected from an accredited San Remo NetSetGO! Centre?
In keeping with the philosophy of NetSetGO! it is expected that all accredited San Remo NetSetGO! Centres will provide:

A program that enables all individuals to experience personal achievement in terms of competence, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation, maximum participation and skill development in a fun environment.

A parent information session to outline the philosophy of the San Remo NetSetGO! program.

  • Appropriate warm-up activities.
  • Appropriate skill teaching in a sequential program.
  • Appropriate skill activities and games.
  • Appropriate Netta Netball matches using Netta modified rules.
  • Appropriately trained/accredited coaches and umpires.
  • Ethical behaviour conforming to Netball Australia’s Codes of Behaviour.

Program Benefits

Participant:

How to Access
Simply complete the San Remo NetSetGO! Centre Application Form (available online) and return to Netball Victoria at least 4 weeks prior to your scheduled start date.
