Consumer Affairs Victoria (www.consumer.vic.gov.au/clubs-and-not-for-profits) sets the structure for all incorporated associations as well as providing resources and advice.

ClubHelp (www.clubhelp.org.au) is for volunteers in sport and recreation clubs to assist with all aspects of running a successful club. 

Play by the Rules (www.playbytherules.net.au) provides free online training, advice and resources to help make your sporting club a safe, fair and inclusive environment for administrators, coaches, officials and players.

Our Community (www.ourcommunity.com.au) is a world-leading social enterprise that provides advice and tools for Australia's 600,000 not-for-profit community groups and state, private and independent schools, as well as practical linkages between the community sector and the general public, business and government.

Non-For-Profit Support Centre (www.nfpcompliance.vic.gov.au) is an online information resource for Victorian not for profit organisations to assist them to comply with their regulatory requirements.

Australian Sports Commission's Club Development Network (www.ausport.gov.au/supporting/clubs) is a free, online program, providing greater access to Association/Club development resources. Associations/Clubs can download a copy of the Club Development checklist to use when looking at how well their Association/Club is operating and identify areas to improve. Membership is free and also provides access to the Club Development Resource Library and Club Clinic, to assist your Association/Club to continually improve how it operates.

Public Interest Law Clearing House (VIC) Inc. (PILCH) (www.pilch.org.au) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation which is committed to furthering the public interest, improving access to justice and protecting human rights. PILCH does this by facilitating pro bono legal services to Victorian individuals and organisations in need, and by undertaking law reform, policy work and legal education.

Video Messages - Welcoming and Inclusive Clubs

SRV has released a series of nine short video messages from Garry Lyon to help encourage welcoming and inclusive clubs across Victoria.

In these videos, Garry Lyon talks about:

• sport's ability to bring communities together;

• treating others as you’d like to be treated;

• keeping perspective during the game;

• developing a positive culture for your club;

• breaking down the “us against them” mentality;

• what makes clubs a great place for kids to have fun;

• creating an open and welcoming environment for everyone;

• the positive roles that women play in sport; and

• connecting your club to the local community.

These videos were funded through the Victorian Code of Conduct for Community Sport.
