Umpire Education

Umpire Education

The education of umpires is critical to the continued success and growth of the game of Netball.
Umpires who are willing to learn and become educated in the Official Rules of Netball will find greater enjoyment and satisfaction in their role.

Netball Victoria currently managers umpire education programs which are aimed to service all levels of umpiring from beginners through to the National level.

Introduction to Umpiring Workshop

The Introduction to Umpiring Workshop caters for anyone who is interested in becoming an umpire and for players and  coaches who want to cover basic rules, positioning and areas of control. It is a great course to attend prior to undertaking practical umpiring.  In 2013 these workshops will be conducted by your local netball associations.  For dates and costs for this workshop contact your local association.
