Association Championships

Association Championships Major Partner

The Association Championships will be entering their 14^th year of competition in 2013 and provide Victoria’s 240 plus Associations an opportunity to compete in 13/U, 15/U, 17/U and Open Divisions. The Association Championships are also a crucial part of the Netball Victoria talent pathway, with talent ID staff working to identify athletes at all tournament days.

Entry Information for the 2013 Association Championships

Each Zone Tournament has 3 age groups- 17 & Under, 15 & Under and 13 & Under who compete across 2 Divisions. Championship division and Reserve. Championship division is for the elite teams competing to qualify for the finals day in Melbourne. Reserve division focuses on development and participation are not eligible to qualify for finals day. Both divisions, however, are looked at closely by talent identification scouts. Each Association is permitted to enter ONE team per division (eg. 1 team in 17 & Under Championship, 1 team in 17 & Under Reserve)

The Reserve division is great for smaller Associations to enter, giving their players representative tournament experience and putting their talented athletes in front of talent scouts, without having to worry about playing against very strong teams.

As per previous years, the Open division will not be playing in the qualifying tournament days, but go straight through to the Finals day at the SNHC on the 23rd of June.

In 2013, Online entries will be used for registering teams for the Association Championships. Please click on the link for your relevant Zone to be taken through to the online payment form. Teams entering teams in the Open division will have to fill a seperate entry for that team.

Preferred payment option is by credit card, but understandably this may be difficult for some associations. If paying by cheque or funds transfer please complete the registration process all the way through to the end then print out the form. Your entry will be registered as pending. Please then forward your form and cheque through to Netball Victoria.
