B Grade Talent Identified Umpire Development Program

This program is the pathway to officiating at the Victorian Netball League and to educate and train you to enable you to reach your full potential as an umpire.

The Talent Identified Umpire Development Program Squad has been selected for 2012-13.

B Grade Umpire Camp

Come along to this 2 day B grade Camp for the opportunity to receive expert assessments and training to further develop your practical umpiring skills from High Performance Umpire Coaches. The weekend will involve skill workshops as well as practical umpiring and give you the opportunity to meet other B grade umpires from across Victoria.

C Grade Development Program

Netball Victoria hosts a C Grade Development Program at the ANL championships. This is a free session targeted at providing further theory education to current C Grade Umpires. To apply to attend this workshop please click here.

Netball Victoria Conducted Development Programs

Netball Victoria conducts a number of practical and theoretical development activities for umpires of all levels. Download an application form to organise any of the following programs:

Workshops
Workshop sessions are designed to specifically meet the requirements of the Association/League or group. Unless otherwise advised Netball Victoria will devise a suitable program taking into account the skill level, experience and age of those attending. Workshops are theory based but may include a practical component if desired. Workshops are usually designed for those already umpiring.

Introduction to Umpiring Sessions
These sessions are aimed to introduce netballers and other interested members of the community to umpiring.

Rule Discussions
Rule Discussions are designed for players, coaches, umpires, parents and other interested parties to gain a better understanding of the rules. This is an opportunity for participants to clarify rules and ask questions.

Umpire Assessment
Umpire assessments are available to unbadged and badged umpires to provide feedback on or relating to their practical performance. Netball Victoria can arrange for umpires to be viewed at local training sessions or competitions.
